So it's 2020 and I haven't written on this blog in almost 8 years. A lot has changed heck when I lost wrote on here the President of the United States was Barak Obama and since 2017 it has been Trump. I thought that was possible only in the movie Idiocracy. This year has started off with wild events happening.

All this and we are only 11 days into the new year.

For our 12th Anniversary I wanted to go to Paris but within our price range we could only get 4 nights. He wasn't feeling it and wanted to do a cruise since it has been 11 years since our last one. So the cruise it is....... Now all I can think about it how will I wear my hair.

The Moral of the story

Do not put others before your self. It may sound selfish but it is true because unless you are doing it and don't care weather it's appreciated. You will not impress the other person, you won't earn their allegiance and they won't even remember how you were there for them when it mattered.

Is it lunch time yet?

The side effects of prednisone like steroids is that you are ravenously hungry most of the day. But with my chronic urticaria and angiodema I have to take it from time to time. :-(

Sometimes you gotta take a moment

Today at work seemed strange, then when I get home my man was upset and in a funk about his team losing. Dag sometimes you just gotta take a moment and step back and be still.

Daniel Fast is done......Now onto the Kira Fast

Very happy with my results after doing the Daniel Fast since 01/23/12 thru today 02/20/12 I have lost 18 lbs just by diet not yet working out. I will start my workouts after my Birthday this week 2/24! My feet and legs have not been swollen since the 2.5 week mark on the DF. That I think is the most motivating factor for me to continue and not fall off. Right now my PMS is kicking in and I want pizza but I have to be strong because I don't have any thing here to make it and I can't just go out and buy it and not know what's in it plus I am trying not to eat any dairy or sugar so I need to make my own. Anyway I am happy and I need to keep going.....

Fast Food

I know I have only been a eating straight plants and veg diet for 10 days but Fast food stinks to me now especially McDonald's. It burnt my nose today two folks near me were eating it and I was feeling sick after smelling it. I noticed that Fast food is always the strongest smell not all of it smells good, I guess that is how the get us to eat it.

Green Smoothies

Daniel Fast week two is going well and I am see the health benefits this week. I saw the documentary Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead and it inspired me to keep going. But I am also considering doing a juice fast either in the middle of the Daniel Fast or right after. Not sure yet, I also have some questions that the doc did not answer and that is what difference does it make if you have an all veg green smoothie vs. all veg green juice? There are thoughts all over the place on this topic, I am for smoothies because I think the fiber is important plus it cleans you out, juice is good to but I am not sure it is as filling as a smoothie. What are your thoughts?

Sprouts

I am realizing that I see mostly Indian people shopping in the produce section on a consistent basis. And then it hits me it's because they are vegetarian, I never see them in mass at Whole Foods so I guess Sprouts has the best deals.

too much time has passed

Ok so I have this blog I started and then stopped posting anything. Well I gotta stop and keep it real, start putting stuff into my blog it doesn't have to be deep or long. Most importantly it has got to be real, real thoughts and real talk. I am not sure if anyone is following but that 's cool if they don't because from now on there will be more post coming forth; some you may like and some you won't but that is cool. Cause it is all about me anyway :)

Cheers to the Freakin Weekend

Started off the weekend Friday Night going to the opening Phoenix Mercury game, it was great. The score was 101 Silver Stars to 99 Mercury, the vibe at the games is very unique you have families and lots of lesbians, I always feel happy when I am at the games. This is the one place where you can just be yourself if you are a chick, no matter what your size, race or looks. Saturday we went to see the Green Lantern, used the Hot Dog on a Stick Groupon and I shopped for bras today. Didn't find all of them which was a bummer, there is a promo buy 2 get 2 free and I wanted to get them all at once. The most I could find was 3 so that means I would have to order 1 more which is ok since they ship for free. But one thing that has me perplexed is that Fashion Bug has the same named bras for less so I wonder are they as good.....

Check Please Arizona

Ok so my show finally aired we taped in back in December and I was so hyped on the day we taped, and then later that night I got worried that I bombed. Then I forgot about and and one day in February I got an email telling me that it would be on the air that night I was so excited however I would have to wait to watch it because Dre and I just cut off out cable and PBS 8 doesn't come in on our antenna which meant I had to wait for it to come show on the website.  I watched it the next day and I think I did a good job, my family and friends said I came across as myself, some said witty and flirty which is good.  So I can't complain because it was overall a blast!!!!! 
 loved this show when I lived in Chicago so much that I would Tivo it; so when I got the chance to be on it here in AZ I was elated. Check me out here I am all 3 clips:

Hugs...

When was the last time you had a great hug?  Think about it a simple moment of shared intimacy with someone. My husband always insists that when I hug him I use both arms, and I must admit it is a little reminder to live in that moment and not be so much in a hurry to get onto the next task. I have noticed that I hug some of my friends longer now than I did when I was younger. Could it be because as you age you realize life is fleeting and that tomorrow is not promised? Have you ever hugged yourself? Just some food for thought, remember to get a hug in every now.......

Meat

Tonight I went to my office's party and I ate meat, my first major meat meal since December 31, 2009.  It was just ok, the whole thing was I didn't miss it and I know that I am doing the right thing for my body but limiting the amount of meat that I consume. I thought I could go 100% vegan and maybe down the road but ovo-lacto veg is the going pretty good. I think I was caught up in the hype of missing the texture and flavor of chicken or ribs and beef. I haven't had beef yet and I don't think I need to have any to realize that I am good without it.
